Legs still a bit stiff and heavy feeling from Wednesday's race. Session went by fairly quick though and was nice in the sun.

Was going to head out and do some new hills today but legs still a bit domsy so restrained myself. Just a loop of Latrigg instead in gorgeous sunshine, shorts and t-shirt type. Felt decent on the ups, just still sore on the downs. Did some hill sprints near the end and it felt like they helped.

Short warm-up around the park. Arrived at the same time as everyone else did so a bit longer to register and get going. A few short sprints and we're off...

A bit of a shuffle to start with, easing the legs out after they stiffened up on finishing.

Went out along the lakeshore, watching the hills bathing in morning sun. The stones underfoot weren't as bad as I thought, so it was nice running. Legs felt a bit heavy but otherwise all good, and better after strides towards the end.

Coledale Horseshoe (kind of) on a very claggy but still morning. Started in the dark but got light pretty quickly, he run out to the start of the horseshoe taking slightly longer than I anticipated. The climb up Grisedale Pike was mixed, felt good one minute but then pretty shoddy the next, weird. Headed into the cloud about halfway up, but still quite warm, and the surroundings were eerily quiet. Met some snow patches on the tops. Headed up to Hopegill Head before turning and running up the rock field to Eel Crag. Over and down past Sail to then climb back up to Outerside, before veering off the race route onto Stile End and down that way. Felt fairly ok on all the descents, and was steady on the road/trails back into town. Enjoyed this run a lot
