Up the ski de randonnée track from Prarion. Not great conditions for sticking at a rhythm, pretty icy and sketchy in places, so had to walk a few bits. Thought I was just being rubbish at it but there seemed to be some others sliding around too - next thing to buy, ski crampons... Made it to the top though and thoroughly enjoyed it, then got down without a fall which I was quite pleased about

Around the Petit Balcons to Argentiere, half the run under a cracking sunset then half with the headtorch. Most of the time the trails were good, a trod having been made, and the microspikes worked a treat on it. Legs felt a bit heavy but generally doing good.

More of a walking struggle - wanted to just see what the snow was like on the higher trails, I found out by sinking to above my knees on them... all good fun though while watching the valley lighten up, those peaks never get old
