1st leg 21st place (+3:32)
We actually had a quite good team this year but one girl got ill, we had to change the team and we ended up on 162nd place instead....:-/
My race was good. Started from thte last row and had to pass a lot of people to be where I wanted to be. I felt really strong and realised after some controls that i was quite in the front. Then a long route. I wanted to run around on tracks but didn't get anyone to follow me. Decided to get back to the pack which took the typical scandinavian route - straight under the line. Anyway I still believe we would have been faster taking the longer route but i didn't dare to run away from the girls. Maybe wise, maybe I could have been in the top at the change over. I will never know but I am very happy with my race. I just love running the first leg at relays! Think this is something where I will be able to be on top in the near future.

2nd leg in our youth team at 10Mila.
Had to wait quite a long time for the change over from the young first leg runner. I expected him to come back earlier and to have some people around to run with.
My race was a very lonely one. Just me and the owls at 10mila ;-) Saw some people crossing my routes, passed some runners but did all the orienteering on my own. Felt surprisingly good and chose secure routes that fit me during night. Everything was perfect until that little stone in the green in the darkest night should be found! :-D tried to attack the control a several times and after some couple of minutes I managed spike it perfectly. That was the only place in the forest where I saw some other runners, all circling around and asking for #80. But of course no-one told when they found that control. Instead they sneaked out of the green - so did I :-D

Later I struggled to find #118. Think I was really running in circles around that control. Need to check my gps. But after passing that hunting tower (they were not mapped) so many times and then finding the control close to it, I know I was close to that stone all the time.

Lost maybe about 10min in total on searching these two controls.

Talked to Marta in the ICE cold shower( I was looking forward to some much. :D ) afterwards and she also searched exactly these two controls. Must have been something wrong with them ;-)

-11 places and a very nice experience. I want to run 10mila at night again. Next time maybe the first leg so that I have more people around me who can lead me to the controls ;-)

Alternative 45:00 [1] 10.58 km (4:15 / km) +127m 4:01 / km

Planned a long run but felt that my body wasn't ready for that. Seems like the two past races took a lot of energy. Actually I didnt feel for running at all so decided to bike instead. Varying surfaces with a bad mountain bike.
