Aborted HP. Overambitious route choice given current training load. Left home without gels or water. Cut it short at 12 miles, got some recovery supplies, with the downside that I had three miles of jog-walking to follow. Got a wee bit cold towards the end.
On the plus side, I was going well on the way out. Paced it pretty well, just started feeling depleted on the return. Reckon I could have sustained pace with a gel or two but might not have been the best plan in either case. Same again next weekend, with better prep.
