Road Biking (Mountain Bike) 1:29:00 [3] 19.5 mi (4:34 / mi)

Road with my neighbor as he trains for the MS 150 and a marathon later this year.

Orienteering 43:27 [3] *** 4.0 km (10:52 / km)
15c shoes: Nike Pegasus Trail

I really liked the difference between the beginner and advanced maps. My wife and kids got 11 in 36 minutes using the beginner map. I was a great way to make it competive and fun for all ranges of orienteering. It was also fun to look at the beginner map after doing the course. This was only my second time in the park. The first was at night. I really had no idea where the trails were in the park relative to the CPs. Thus, it made it a good challenge. Once again great idea.

Orienteering 21:37 [3] *** 1.75 km (12:21 / km)
6c shoes: Nike Pegasus Trail

My oldest wanted to run the intermediate sprint with me. He has a competitive streak in him. He did not mind bushwacking to save time. But, he learned his old man can make mistakes. I misread the topography on the way back and added about 30 -45 seconds. The oldest wanted to make sure we beat his mother and brother.

Note

Kids course: Great idea, the kids loved it. I liked the fact that I could sit down and watch them run themselves out.
