The deer flies are out. Man they are nasty little.
Note
Life is ironic

Tonight is the second night we have let our children camp in the back yard this summer. I was sitting on the patio looking at the tent. ..

First before I continue, I only own three tents and one pop-up trailer. The rest of you it is okay you can confess. We want go into number bikes or spandex thingies.

They are learning the finer points of camping in a tent
1) no shoes in the tent
2) this is how you put up a tent. Dad why do you do it that way (another story)
3) where is the flat ground
These are good things to teach your kids.

Tonight they are sleeping in a 3-person Light weight North Face multi day expidition tent able withstand winds in excess of 60 mph. It is a tent I used during post doc days to hike the finger lakes trails and to hike Taos. It has been very good tent. Maybe it is bit overkill for a backyard campout. But hey, Daddy has all kinds of gear; it just needs a little repurposing.
