| I had good contact with the map throughout (still made three small mistakes... but never wandered or felt too confused-- just ended up in slightly the wrong place and had to run to the right one). I was having a really hard time keeping up any sort of pace in the snow-- it took a lot of mental concentration just to keep running. |

| I was supposed to do 8-- 3 minutes fast, 1 minute rest. I was enjoying them... running with a good group of girls. However, on the third one my left hamstring started to feel funny and it felt worse by the fourth one. I took one off and then decided that I'd bail to be safe... I'd rather miss half an interval session than have another injury to deal with. It felt worse as I walked back in the cold but better when it was warm and we were doing strength stuff. Anything I should do for it to keep it from being a problem again? |

| I'm not going to the wednesday night o's these days because I'm (finally) taking a svenska kurskväll. I applied during the fall but had to wait until this session started (and was even a bit lucky that I got into this course since it had a waiting list). I miss the night o's but at least the classes aren't on Tuesdays or Thursays. |

| Ran with Lina and Sophie (which sounds fast except that they were keeping their heart rates relatively low...). There was ice under the snow on the trails which was ok but meant that you sort-of have to push up more than back when you take off each step. Eyelashes froze again-- I wonder what the temperature has to be for them to freeze? Evidently it wasn't cold enough for Mats who we saw stretching outside wearing only a towel with steam coming off of him after he'd just been in the bastu (sauna in Finish).
It was a nice run. |

| I was suprised at how hard I had to be working on the bike to get my heartrate up in the 170's (especially compared to the stair master).
