Warm up & strides 10:00 [3]

Warm up before the SHI relay. Not feeling any more sprightly than yesterday.

Orienteering race 44:18 [4] **** 4.6 km (9:38 / km) +130m 8:26 / km
ahr:188 max:200 spiked:13/15c shoes: Integrators

Top run from Anne sneaking in just behind relay legend Kirsten Strain (every time people, every time) sent me off in second place on second leg, chasing Hazel. I got the better gaffle at number 2 (when I saw that boulder on opening my map I was dead chuffed) and was away. Had no idea whether I'd stayed ahead whilst battling through the scrub shit, but kept a cool head. Again, failed to set the world alight, but did what I needed to do. Brought us back in the lead and Rach kept it, to get first place. Excellent. England girls dominated again, and Hoddy went for a blaze of glory that oh so nearly worked. Good showing from a reduced English team.

I forgot how nice it feels to win.

Recovery 10:00 [3]

Short warm down with Vicky and Jo, who both had excellent runs on second leg that put me to shame!

Still worried about my HR. I think this is the end of "training" (not that there's been much really!) till I finish in the lab. I am so tired and I feel like I am very, very close to breaking. Which wouldn't be much fun, so I won't do that.
