spiked:9/15c shoes: Integrators

First day of Kapa 3 day - totally disgusting forest! Thick green marsh with the occasional 2.5 metre contour hill failing to appear out of it. Was relatively clean to big error at number 9 where relocation almost impossible. Then tired, scrappy, and fedup for the rest. A few legs I looked at and just thought, I have no skills at all that help me complete this leg other than luck! Bleurgh. Very hot too.

Orienteering race 1:11:00 [5] **** 9.0 km (7:53 / km) +260m 6:54 / km
spiked:21/24c shoes: Integrators

Good run in the WOC Classic selection. Navigating well, a bit of hesistation when tired later. By halfway was struggling to find that extra gear on the tracks but it's ages since I've raced so hard for three days on the go - great fun!

Argh! Was having a near perfect run, good lines, attacking well, maybe a little slow on the uphills, and a couple of hesitations approaching the circle, then got over confident and lost 3 minutes at number 12 by going too steeply up the hill and looking on the wrong spur. Still, the rest of my splits were almost identical to Alison's (she won), two fastest splits so it was really promising, just a shame I couldn't hold it together for the whole thing!

Sprint selection race. Scrappy at start, couple of bad lines, lungs felt like bursting up the hills at times! Bit disappointing as had my highest hopes in the sprint!

Easy run with Eddie to loosen up a bit before the weekend, feeling fine, some decent sized hills.

'sprint" training at Judarn. Sprinted round first time and made a total screw up, loads of extra tracks. So jogged round again after and much better!

Went out on Jukola training map to have a jog around and familiarise myself. Not feeling overly strong.

Argh. Terrible Venla last leg. Appalling parallel error to number two, then just no confidence, nothing in legs or body, couldn't shift up a gear and was crawling. Really crap, let the team down.

StockholmCity Cup Final. Chest tight up the hills, one silly big error post butterfly, should have caught fifth. Route choice good though.

Jukola Training at Lovon. Really good, ran hard, navigated well, head to head with Louise at the end. Cool!

Nice slow biking with quite a lot of pushing! Round Gommaren. Throat wasn't when woke up in the morning but was fine by evening.

Went cycling to try and clear thick head and felt fine whilst out but then nasty cough developed later on, with sore throat.

Planned another 10km course - a bit more "British" with some track legs and nice hill top running on Visattra. Much better fun! Ran the course in 80mins with 15 mins warm up down each side to get there. Much better than yesterday.

Mega cycle ride to get to area to train! Vastly underestimated the time it'd take so an hour there and an hour back - totally wasted by the end!

Argh! Had planned a 10km classic course but totally underestimated the toughness of the area! Realkly thick veg, devious contours and after 4.8km took me 60 mins thought it was time to attempt the long cycle back. What a silly day.

Ran to area then did line course across to Supermarket at Kungens Kurva. Legs stiff but calves finally recovering!
