| Slightly faster cycle into work today, feeling much more like myself but my ear's a bit blocked up. Still, should be good for tomorrow, whoop! I'm dead bored of resting. I blame it on Modest Mouse. |

| Feeling a bit better this morning and heart rate back down - slept much better despite waking a couple of times with green goo to cough up (Mmm, nice). Still a bit sore in the old throat so just the cycle into work and back today and tomorrow, keeping the HR below 70% of max. Easier on the way in than the way home! Should then be right as rain for a belt around Crathes and Fungle at the weekend and a boost to the autumn training start! Also might head to Fontainebleau for a day out from Paris next week, have looked at some maps and it looks fantastic. Eeee! |

| Easy cycle out to Shitehill to pick up Jeff, who's looking nice and sparkly after costing me pretty much all of my disposable income for three months. Unfortunately that income had pretty much been disposed of and now I am in cash stress. Rah! |

| Bleurgh, woke up this morning to a very high heart rate and a thick head. I say woke up, I'm not sure how much I was actually asleep, having had one of those horrible nights where every time you drop off to sleep your throat fills with phlegm and you cough and swallow and you still feel like shite. So not the rest I was planning on and hence caught the bus into work. Might cycle easily back as I don't like leaving my bike at work, but am going to leave early and have an easy afternoon I think. Saw Kirsty on the bus and she was very understanding as she knows this is the first time I've caught a bus to work erm, ever. Now to my primer designing and then I can go!

| Didn't want to leave my bike at work two nights running in case it got nicked so cycled home really slowly with HR monitor on to go nuts if I went above 70% of my heart rate. I didn't, so that was good, and felt okay when cycling. Will hopefully sleep better tonight. |

| Feeling totally rubbish, tired and achey by the time I left the lab, so walked back with Sarah and left the bike at work. Early night tonight, the Twilight Sad gig will have to be missed. |

| Into work and back - a bit later as had to get back from Glasgow so not too bad traffic wise, then stayed in the lab till 7 so actually quite pleasant on the way back. Legs killing though and not much energy. |

| Lugging the bag back along a now far muddier track to the car park at a stupid time in the evening. Looking forward to a bed and Travelodge, was very restrained with the old drinking this weekend with nothing at all on Sunday, but lack of sleep due to wetness and mud and noise and tiredness meant feeling pretty shitty. |

| Went for a run before the music on Saturday morning, I am officially a training mental. Lots of scary people shouted abuse at me and thought it was pretty funny Nice run to Loch Fyne, along the banks, through Inverary and then back along tracks through the woods that somehow got me into a VIP bit I wasn't supposed to be near, but luckily a nice steward sneaked me out and I got back to the campsite after longer than I was planning! FYO: Connect Festival, dead easy to gatecrash with a pair of respectable terrain running legs.
