Orienteering 53:25 [4] *** 6.2 km (8:37 / km) +320m 6:51 / km
ahr:181 max:190 spiked:21/26c shoes: Integrators

Yey! Orienteering! I can't remember that last time I did a proper orienteering course that had controls and things. It was a beautiful day, small covering of fresh snow, gorgeously sunny. A 2 loop course around Esholt, and the first loop felt awful (I realised later it had a lot more climb) and on the second half I got my legs back and had a lot of fun. My orienteering was not particularly sharp, which is to be expected, but no time loss over 15 seconds other than huffing and puffing up hills.

This was so much fun!

Running 33:00 [2] 3.2 mi (10:19 / mi)
ahr:160 max:184 shoes: Inov8s

Aerobic run back from Leeds. Surprised myself by actually being able to jog up the hill within this heart rate band. Things are definitely improving!

Running 27:25 intensity: (3:00 @1) + (15:25 @2) + (9:00 @4) 3.0 mi (9:08 / mi)
ahr:167 max:186 shoes: Inov8s

6 mins aerobic, 3 x 3(1) at threshold, 9 mins aerobic home. Paths were treacherous so most of it was run in the woods. Luckily the snow has killed a lot of the brash so it was pretty nice.

Running 27:18 intensity: (10:00 @2) + (12:18 @3) + (5:00 @4) 2.7 mi (10:07 / mi)
ahr:165 max:184 shoes: Inov8s

10 mins aerobic, 5 mins of drills, then 12 mins sub threshold. Sub threshold finally felt like real running, was able to attack a bit even in terrain and uphill and it shows: was running at 7 min mile pace for the second half. Obviously being really annoyed with boyfriend works wonders for my running!

Core 16:00 [0]
ahr:116 max:150

16 minutes of Steve Vernon's core exercises.

Stretching 12:30 [0]
ahr:100 max:114

Stretchy time.

Running 31:37 [2] 3.1 mi (10:12 / mi)
ahr:166 max:184 shoes: Inov8s

Strapped on the headtorch and ran to Jen's for tea. Very wet and windy on the moor!

Running 27:00 intensity: (13:00 @2) + (14:00 @3) 2.8 mi (9:39 / mi)

Ran down to Bingley to meet Nicola and Nicola and baby Rory. First half was fine but Myrtle Park and Bingley were an ice rink, so the whole thing was rather slow. Walked home after lunch, having held Rory for a whole 15 minutes with no crying! Babies in not so scary after all shocker!
