Rob had an 8am meeting this morning (ha ha!) so there was double impetus to get out of bed. Made it to the track, and did last week's intervals session properly.
I no longer have any speed in my legs. Not surprising, as I've not done any speed work, but still, it was a bit of a shock. This was a really, really hard session. 8 x 400m full pace, walk 200m recovery - had the Garmin session on my wrist so I have no idea what my times were...just about to find out...
... the good news is that despite having no watch counting along I'm consistent! The bad news is I'm really slow! The training plan has a few of these sessions in the 12 weeks, so it'll be interesting to see if I can build up some more speed.
