Cycling 1:10:00 [1]

Totally whacked today so settled for cycling the commute. The lab made it to 31 degrees today. I effectively am now on strike. I would prefer to be working.

No bag today, and running felt okay till about an hour, then legs just stopped again. I think lack of training in general, mega session on Tuesday plus feeling a bit ill has depleted my glycogen stores.

Today I saw a HUGE owl.

My feet are wrecked.

Ice cream milkshakes from Arethusa Farms are the best.

Pond Mountain Pootle carrying a bag and lots of water. It is gorgeous out there! I saw lots of woodpeckers. At about 2 hours my legs just stopped moving, so I tootled a bit more.

Note

And then today I woke up with a burning throat in the middle of the night and a massively elevated HR. So now I'm going to bed, before spending a hopefully productive weekend up at Pond Mountain.

Thursday Apr 14, 2016 #

Note

Accidentally slept through my alarm and then had to work frantically to get everything done before Happy Hour, as Happy Hour was my idea and thus I couldn't turn up hours late. And it was excellent, but I did not run.

Note

Went to get my implant fitted after the great IUD disaster of 2016. I was planning on freeletics today, but am not allowed to lift anything above 35lb for a week. So I didn't. Got to wear an impressive looking bandage all day.

Today's workout was terrifying. 15 x 400m with two mins rest between "as fast as possible." Of course I wasn't going to do that like a reps session, but figured it would be a pretty decent almost Foxdal style session if done on the trails. And it was! Fun! But tough! But things have to hurt to get better, right?

I really enjoyed this.
