Stone Trough car trial in North Yorkshire. Good to be down in 3 Peaks country on a nice autumn day. Not a bad trial but seven pretty similar sections all along one bank, many with annoying ruts that we seemed to struggle over- work to do on rear suspension. Knee seemed not too bad despite run yesterday.

Fell running 1:30:00 [3] 10.0 mi (9:00 / mi) +800m 7:13 / mi

Hill run around Dreva. Not the full loop as I had wanted but still a reasonable run out. Dropped down to the JB way and up Jura climb instead of right out to the cottage. Legs felt a bit rubbish, could feel left knee at times (particularly downhill) but never got too bad. Legs feeling rubbish = head not in it so a shorter loop. Anyway, good to get something done, hopefully knee will pick up.

Rest. Should really have biked down to Dreva but decided to work instead, rubbish idea as it was a lovely afternoon for it. Ride isn't that great on crap roads though so not much lost. Hopefully manage a good hill run tomorrow.

Another nice morning- how long can this last? Chilly but happy with that over rain. Left knee definitely not right. Can't understand what causes this, thought it was too many road miles but then it was saw last week before even doing any running! First thought was to push through and hope it eased off but it's definitely not 100% Usual over-reaction of wanting to pack in the running and get back to full time biking but will persist for a bit, determined to put together a good fell & hill season next year.

Cycle home. Nice evening for it. Plan had been to attend Shet reps but sacked this idea off due to knee. Thought about toll loop but knee definitely not right so no running. Will try a loop around Dreva at weekend, hopefully that should be fine- may even sort things out- optimism!

Quick spin home, touch earlier than normal to make Ranjit's before going to see American Honey. Lovely tea then a good film. Punjab Cha tea and Indian sweets:-) Film ok, kept my interest for 3 hours despite not that much really happening? Different take on American road/ coming of age movie. Repeat next week with I Daniel Blake.

Toll Loop. CW.
Calves sore to begin but eased a bit- still not great by the end though. Could feel left knee from about 3 miles in but never got too painful. Good stretch once home and ball in around biceps femoris seemed to help. Best prognosis so far is a combination of tight biceps femoris and over worked tibialis anterior (from over pronation on LHS). Taping up tibialis anterior seems to help. Ice and Vit I when sore. Need to be very careful with road miles as this seems to kick off the problems. Wed morning and no serious pain in the knee though so plenty stretching and see how it goes.
