Davies Creek - I think it is the only bush orienteering on the calendar this year for Cairns. I had to work in the morning so went out after everyone else. Fairly pleasant for the most part but the course could have done with being a bit shorter.

I met up with a group consisting of some of the people I met last weekend. At Davies Creek again which I'm finding is suiting me as it has some tricky sections but also really nice flowing sections as well. Social ride with quite a few stops to let people catch up. Nice coffee afterwards too.

It's not often you can walk out your front gates, cross the road and find the start of a fun run. It was a figure of 8, 5km loop, twice. I wasn't expecting much from the run, but for the situation was happy with the first 8km or so before fading significantly at the end.

Entered the XC race at Davies Creek up on the tablelands. This was my first mtb race and I didn't really know what to expect. My class only had to to do 2 laps so it wasn't very long. Really nice single trail and I really enjoyed it. It was good for meeting people too, which was one of the reasons for doing it.

Mooloolaba coastal run. Ran south to the end of the spit then north over Alex headlands to Maroochydore and along the Maroochy river for a while then back. Nice morning to be out.
