First injury free race.
fitness level has dropped obviously. I was happy with the pace in sections and was hitting 4min/km pace occasionally.
I was able push and drive on on the hill sections which was a positive surprise.

It wasn't really any technical difficult orienteering.
3 key points where I made mistakes and lost time though.
1) Like Darren I stayed low to 7 but I think I lost too much time.
2) took the direct route to 8. should have stayed on the track. the control was Nice and easy from the little track. I came through the green crossing the river and expected the cliff a little higher than where it was.
3) 10, the idea wasn't too bad. fast running on the track until the switch back to the east of the control. past the boulder as attack point. Unfortunately there was a lot more detail and clearing on the ground than it was on the map.

I took a direct route from 13 to 14, I was a little more hesitant as I lost a fair bit of time the last in that area.

I think I lost about 11-12 min which could have seen me on par with Darrens time.

Based on my HR it looks to be 9 out of ten but felt more like a 7.
