| Today was easily the best I've felt since I came down with the cold last week - perhaps it was the fresh country air yesterday? I actually felt like I had some strength in my legs again, but didn't push it too much - the usual pyramid session on 6.5.
Am finding it difficult to find a leg position that doesn't hurt my knee, and off course everything feels unnatural because I'm not used to it. I'll keep trying and see how it goes. |

| Went for a "ramble" this arvo. Probably walked about 4 hours through the Cotswolds. It can be pretty nice when the sun's shining! |

| Pretty easy session - didn't feel like I'd done anything by the end, which is a good sign after the past week or so. Did 15 min w/u then 4 times 5 mins on 5 with 5 mins on 3 in between and a 10 min warm down.

| Outside of L knee has been really sore lately, in a way which I think is different to the usual. Although I didn't think cycling was hurting it, it did seem to get worse the last couple of turbo sessions. For the last year or so I have been trying to ride on my road bike with knees "tucked in" to the top tube, which is apparently more aero. However, that could be what is pissing off my knee and now that I'm doing so much on my road bike it is causing problems. So today I tried to ride without tucking in my knee, which is actually quite hard, because I am so used to riding the other way. However, I am pretty sure there was less pain, so I will stick at it. This is also the reason I haven't tried running the last couple of weeks, even though my thumb is now good enough. My knee has been quite painful even to walk for the last 2-4 weeks. |

| Was planning to do some weights this morning but felt really terrible, so postponed it to the afternoon. Didn't feel much better then - I seem to still have the dregs of my cold which are worse today after turbo training yesterday perhaps. |

| ususal w/u and c/d with 1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1 min efforts on 5 and recovery on 2 inbetween. I last did this session on 7, but am still not 100% so did not want to push it. It felt hard enough as it was. |

| 15 min w/u then 2 by 15 mins on 3, with 5 mins on 2 inbetween. Felt like I was doing the "efforts" on 6.5, but otherwise OK. Cough and headache both a bit better today. It felt good to stretch afterwards. |
