Sunday Jun 24

running 31:00 [3]
Run down to some Garden with funny black swans and wallabies in it, around a bit, up the "hill" a couple of times and back to the hotel before another day of strolling around and drinking wine and coffee. It can be a hard life!

Saturday Jun 23

Note
Travelling to and drinking coffee in Paris.

Friday Jun 22

Turbo Trainer 1:00:00 [3]
15 min w/u then 35 mins on 5, with a minute out of the saddle every 10 minutes. Was thinking about whether to ride on 6.5 or 7.5 for this session, but after about 40 secs on 6.5 I could feel my legs were really tired, so slipped it down to 5. Still felt like it was a reasonable work-out, though initially I'd planned to go out for a bit of a longer ride but didn't have the time.
strength 57:00 [3]
Not sure why it took so long. Felt a bit tired by the end, which is good I suppose.

Thursday Jun 21

Note
Have a visitor all this week and with entertaining plus work plus holding a BBQ tonight, somehow training didn't get a look in. I was also feeling really tired and worn-out, not helped by carrying around my gym shoes all day.

Wednesday Jun 20

running 29:00 [3]
Binsey short loop with a bit extra. Legs felt pretty tired still from Sunday, but got better after 5-10 minutes or so. Had Chariots of Fire in my head again (ughh).
cycling 1:04:00 [3]
It was pretty windy so I went up to Cumnor then rode the lanes off the main road for a bit of variety in wind direction and altitude. Riding into the head-wind was just like riding on the turbo!

Tuesday Jun 19

Turbo Trainer 58:00 [3]
15 min w/u then 1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1 min efforts on 7.5 with 1 min recovery in between (except that I missed a minute somewhere, probably on the second 4) and w/d. Felt fine and a bit stronger than the other day.
strength 50:00 [3]
Felt pretty tired, but it was OK. Went shortly after 6 so there were a lot of guys just sitting around on bits of equipment and getting in the way.

Monday Jun 18

Note
(rest day)
Quads on fire!
