Sunday Jun 29

Event at Pewsey Vale. Was trying to treat this as a proper race and mostly succeeded, though still was careful going over the rough bits and through the crappy areas. Took the more technical route to number 4 for practise, but stuffed it up. Didn't always know exactly where I was to the extent I wished, and was thinking I was doing pretty crap. Turns out the control was probably in the wrong place anyway, so I don't feel so bad. Got better as I went on, and reasonably happy all up. Fantastic area!

Went up to Merridee with Jenny, and ran out to and around a control picking course set by Sus some time. Just tried to run slow and smooth. It was fun!

Last riding day in Aus :-( Unfortunately had to use it do chores, so rode down to Cowandilla.

Back via Unley and Belair Roads. Feeling better than yesterday, but not great. Certainly not good enough to do any sit-ups...

Thursday Jun 26

Slow run in the dark along the creek up and back. Legs felt predictably tired, and was a bit hesitant not being able to see the ground properly. This run was really just a warm-up for the exercises and some stretching.

Left out some of the jumps because legs too tired. Felt a bit dizzy.
Note
Not feeling too flash today. Tired both in the head and body, with a bit of a headache. Could be something to do with not getting much sleep last night and having a bit of work to do before I head back to Oxford and back into real life on Monday. Going to bed early tonight!

Wednesday Jun 25

Rode from Blackwood through BNP to Crafers, then Picadilly, Woods Hill Road, Norton Summit and into the city. Left a bit later than planned so no slacking off, and it was really windy so had to work a bit just to stay on the road sometimes. I've never had to pedal so much to get down NS road before!

From town out to Kays and back, with a few hours break in the middle. Had to work pretty hard coming back to catch a train, and I'd forgotten to leave extra time for the wind.

Just upper body. Didn't get around to doing core.

Pretty easy ride into town, just getting the legs turning around.

Steady run down the valley and back, keeping a pretty good pace and picking it up a bit towards the end.

Felt sore all over. Spent about 10 hours out of bed but didn't get out of the house.
