cycling 1:33:00 [2] 25.0 km (3:43 / km)
slept:11.0

ride into the city. tried to see how far i could get in 45 min and made it to the storey bridge, which on my crappy 10-year old malvern star mountain bike is a decent effort. this bike was like $100 new. quality stuff. hills worked my quads much

pilates/yoga 1:00:00 [1]
slept:8.0 shoes: nike air pegasus

tried out the new body balance class for free at the come n try week at uq sport. absolutely killed my quads and my abs. the dude who was taking the class kept forgetting what came next and we had to start over which was annoying. that guy can make you hurt though. and the stretching was pretty good and the balances made you work. good stuff

run warm up/down 25:00 [3] 3.4 km (7:21 / km)
slept:8.0 shoes: nike air pegasus

run from my place to the 'smashfest' at anzac park. I was already well smashed by the time i got there though from the long run on hills yesterday and the balance class earlier today. my legs would not work up the hills. my lungs were fine but my legs refused to work. quads just had nothing.

run hills 47:00 [4] 5.2 km (9:02 / km)
slept:8.0 shoes: nike air pegasus

this was super fun. i was sooooooo wrecked i would have been faster up the hills if i stood still and the hurtyness and exhaustedness in my legs meant i wasn't even remotely fast on the flat (which was basically non-existent) and the downhill. but like anna said i set my personal worst today so that the only way i can go from here is up right? didn't even have enough energy for the run home so i made bridgey drive me and kieran came along for the ride. thanks bridget!

run long 1:32:30 [2] 11.32 km (8:10 / km)
shoes: nike air pegasus

long run around almost up mt coot-tha but it got scary and then i got lost in moore park then up taringa pde and ran around anzac park for about 35mins where i met some friendly dogs who dirtied my shirt. i ran but via gower street which completely killed me and ran home via hillsdon rd. wasn't as stuffed as i usually get until the very end. got very wet in anzac park though

orienteering race 26:27 [4] *** 2.6 km (10:10 / km)
shoes: nike air pegasus

qld sprint champs at st peters. didn't even place in the 17-20E category. bahahahaha. running was better than it usually was but navigation is way rusty. didn't even know what i was doing for the first couple of controls. i think i need more practice before easter.

run hills 42:00 [3] *** 6.0 km (7:00 / km)
shoes: nike air pegasus

hills run around anzac park. took a map with me so i could figure out where i was going. the hills didn't hurt too badly but i was sore on the way back.

Thursday Feb 21, 2008 #

run 54:30 [3] 8.0 km (6:49 / km)
shoes: nike air pegasus

road run around taringa pde, stanley tce, up the hill on miskin street to toowaong and back along moggill road. took longer than i would have liked.

Wednesday Feb 13, 2008 #

run 30:00 [3] 5.0 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: nike air pegasus

detour run to my friends place. manged to get to the top of taringa pde in 17mins which is very fast for me so that was really good. ran faster than i ever have up the big hill on miskin street which was awesome coz that hill is a friggin killer

run 20:00 [3] 2.7 km (7:24 / km)
shoes: nike air pegasus

bullied a friend into going for a run with me but she hasn't run ever so she died just past halfway. went pretty slowly but i managed to run ahead up miskin st again and ran up that pretty quickly again which was good. hurting a bit by the end though.

run 20:00 [3] 2.5 km (8:00 / km)
shoes: nike air pegasus

run back from my friends place and i was hurting a lot coz i didn't have my insoles in bundy and i started using them again today. anyway run was quite slow because i was in much pain but i did make an effort to keep the intensity up esp. up the hills and such

Monday Feb 11, 2008 #

Note

felt rather unwell and sore so i didn't go for a run. had a killer headache

Sunday Feb 10, 2008 #

step class 1:00:00 [3]

steps class which is fun. got me very puffed and i pushed it really really hard at the end so i was dying. and my arms were very sore the next day.

cross trainer 20:00 [3]
ahr:160 max:180

was very hard after the class but pushed it and it felt good

Saturday Feb 9, 2008 #

cycling 1:00:00 [3]

got reeeally badly burnt on my arms and thighs coz i went in the middle of the day. it was overcast though so what was i supposed to think?

Friday Feb 8, 2008 #

rowing 10:00 [3] 2.0 km (5:00 / km)

flogged myself a bit at the gym because i'd been so lazy lately

cycling 20:00 [3]

climbed a hill and coz it was on an exercise bike it was uphill the whole way so my quads were aching muchly

cross trainer 20:00 [3] 4.8 km (4:10 / km)

more training. upped the level quite high

run 30:00 [4] 5.0 km (6:00 / km)

running on treadmill at 3 incline and 9 setting (don't know what that means)

Note

went home and i stupidly forgot the bring my insoles so running was out of the question unless i wanted stress fractures. went for a walk with the dogs though

Monday Feb 4, 2008 #

run long 1:30:00 [2] 11.0 km (8:11 / km)
slept:8.0 shoes: nike air pegasus

tried to have a long run through and around anzac park but i couldn't run through the terrain coz everything was flooded. Instead spent a lot of time being lost around the area and eventually came out on gower street so i had to run up that hill (30%) at about the 60 min mark which was a killer. then i sort of made my way back. knees were dying.

Note

i only found out that my favouritest ever author just released the new book in my favouritest ever series which has been like 10 years in the making and which i've been waiting for for ages on fri so i took a 3 day running hiatus in order to devote all my waking time to 1000 pages of awesomeness. like i'm talking this moment eclipses harry potter 7 release by everything. SO good.
