Note

i only found out that my favouritest ever author just released the new book in my favouritest ever series which has been like 10 years in the making and which i've been waiting for for ages on fri so i took a 3 day running hiatus in order to devote all my waking time to 1000 pages of awesomeness. like i'm talking this moment eclipses harry potter 7 release by everything. SO good.

run warm up/down 20:00 [3] 3.0 km (6:40 / km)
slept:8.0 shoes: nike air pegasus

run to oval where i was doing training

run intervals 26:37 [4] 4.8 km (5:33 / km)
slept:8.0 shoes: nike air pegasus

did intervals of 6 x 800m in the jack cook mem. park which is the closest thing to a running track i could find. I didn't feel particularly fast but i was faster than i expected considering the degree of unfitness i currently have. I kind of underestimated the run there and back which turned out to be 6k's on top of the intervals i did. plus some athletics people showed up halfway through my intervals and decided to stretch right across the track so i had to run around them. then they started running around too which messed up my groove. my times were:
4:17
4:18
4:24
4:23
4:30
4:45
I was soooo stuffed by the last one even though i tried to push it really hard in the last 200m. then i stretched and my way home

run warm up/down 20:00 [3] 3.0 km (6:40 / km)
slept:8.0 shoes: nike air pegasus

i sort of mistimed how long it would take for me to do the intervals so i was running home when all the weirdos started to turn crazy. i was mega sore and really really tired after the intervals so I was shuffling very slowly and at the same time hoping to not get abducted. but my knees were like PAINPAINPAINPAINPAINPAIN. very very hurty in my legs.

hill reps up hillsdon rd (nice name). went really slow up but kept moving the whole time and slowish run down to get my breath back. Hills hurt me.

slept:10.0 shoes: nike air pegasus

went for a quite long hilly run up taringa pde then down to toowong village and back along moggill road. felt pretty good after sun but i got short of breath from all the fumes along moggill road. my knees only hurt a little bit towards the end but it was a pretty good run.

run long 1:30:00 [2] 12.0 km (7:30 / km)
slept:8.0 shoes: nike air pegasus

My first super long run in brisbane with other people. Drove out to Binna Burra with Mat, Olly and Kieran and because there was no way on earth I was going to keep up with the rest of them I did my own thing. After a few accidental detours I ran along the track at a steady pace occasionally meeting up with the Doyles minus Steve who were checking out the lookouts while he ran with the others. I was mostly downhill apart from a few places on the second half which hurt a lot. I was doing ok until about 8ks in when I started to hurt in the knees quite a bit. Then at about the 85 min mark I was absolutely spent and could hardly lift my feet. I stopped at exactly 90 mins and it took me about half an hour to walk the 2ks uphill to the cafe and car. But even though I couldn't move for the rest of the day (apart from a trip to the beach. BEACH!) it was pretty good if you don't count the run ins with goannas. but the wallabies were sooo cute!

walking warm up/down (walk back up the hill) 30:00 [1] 2.0 km (15:00 / km) +100m 12:00 / km
slept:8.0 shoes: nike air pegasus

walk back up the hill to the cafe which took a lot longer than a walk should. I was so stuffed i had to stop and couldn't even be bothered to move off the road when cars came. my lower back was absolutely killing me.
