Pleased, surprised. Beautiful day at the track, this is a banner August. I feel guilty writing that down as it's just terrible elsewhere. Floated the first 100, then push, push, push 2nd 100. Pushed & tried to relax at the same time if that makes any sense.

Running 40:00 [3] 4.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: New Balance Vazee Pace (blue)

@ Gude

4 miles easy. rainy.

Monday Aug 28 #

Note
(rest day)

Worked on doing three reps of chin ups. Cheating a little, not fully down to a dead hang, the tiniest bit of help on the way up.

P's note

Good, good--tomorrow do 12x200 in 45 (or as close as you can get). Mile warm up; 1.5 mile warm down. Strength W and Fri. When you're doing the pull down exercises, try to use your arms as little as possible and your lats as much as possible. Thurs and Sat 4 easy. 8 at 9 min pace Sunday, hopefully with a group. Enjoy!

Sunday Aug 27 #

Running 1:10:00 [3] 7.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: New Balance Vazee Pace (blue)

@ Ken gar

Per P's suggesting, I tried running with the low-key long run group for MCRRC at Ken-Gar. I've been stopping a lot on my weekend long runs. Running with people is suppose to help? I'm hesitant.

workout was suppose to be the usual 7 @ 9 min.

Of course, when I showed up there were a bunch of people - the workout was 12 miles starting in the mid 8s working down to mid 7s. No way could I even begin to keep up.

Did find a very fit 50 year old - Angela who ran with me. I did run at a brisk pace while talking. We'll see how it goes.

I didn't get my Garmin to align with the stars, so I have no data.
