Wellington Parkrun
A tough route and the legs weren't feeling strong. A seriously mean hill at about 3.5km. A bit of walking was required. Nice, fast last km though and overall a nice off road route through the wine estate with a couple of dams. And it was their birthday so we got cake afterwards :-)

Chilled jog to Pope Street :-)
About 70% off road with the bit through the common and sections along the canal. Few walks thrown in when my feet started burning a bit. Overall feet felt decent though :-)

Overdue trip to the Physio, although she pretty much just confirmed our theories - Plantar Fasciitis. Worked on my calves and strapped my foot up. I can still run a bit but must be careful.

SA Champs Long - WRE - B'sorah Farm South - 1:15'000
Terrain was a lot less challenging than Friday. Less rocks and more open grassy slopes. Had a conservative start, running comfortably and nav was decent. Michele caught me at #7 and I stuck with her for to #8 and #9 where we picked up Christie. They both started to pull away but I pushed on the downhill to #12 to stay in contact. We picked up Roffe here, then Zoe, then Kirsten and passed Steph M. I was hanging off the back of the train to #13. Watched Michele pull the train too far left down the slope into #14 and I headed right and hit it nicely. Pulled a bit of a gap, acing #15 but was struggling to focus to #16 and lost some time. Smooth into the finish and was happy to have broken away. Very pleased with 2nd, 2:30 behind Michele.
