Out-and-back at Hidden Mesa, including the steep section. Fantastic, sunny, mild weather, and the trail was nice and dry.

Late-afternoon jog at a trail near my office -- "Westminster Hills".

This area was OK, but nothing special. The views to the west are nice, but there are lots of power lines criss-crossing the area. This place would suck on a windy day since it's so open and treeless, but at least the trail was totally dry.

There were zillions of social trails and no signs whatsoever. So, the loop I ended up running is not at all what I had intended... Oh well.

  • Jogging, dynamic stretching, and light kettlebell drills to warm up.

  • Deadlift warm-up.

  • Not for time: 21-15-9 deadlift. The goal was to start fairly heavy and increase the weight for each round, starting no lower than 135# for women / 185# for men. I could only eke out six reps at 135#, and there was no way I'd be going up in weight from there. So I started over. 115# x 21 / 125# x 15 / 130# x 9. That felt plenty hard enough for me... :-P Super-star Leah started at 175# and finished at 245#, I think. Wow.

  • One my own -- three rounds: assisted push-ups x 10 / abmat sit-ups x 20 / 15' rope climb x 1 / 30-second hand-stand x 1.
