Red course at Manitou Park. This is a technical area, so I was happy to not get lost or have any major mistakes. I felt little light-headed a lot of the time and even running downhill felt like an effort -- due to the elevation, I assume (~8,000') -- so I mostly walked.
Small glitch at #4 -- I wasn't sure whether to look left or right once I got close, and I guessed wrong.
Got a bit off my bearing on the way to #10, but corrected easily.
Dumb mistake at #12 -- for somereason I thought the reentrant should be off to my right, and I was wrong.
I enjoyed this course a lot, but I'm really out of shape since I've only been walking lately, if doing any exercise at all.
p.s. I had my second-best orienteering wildlife-sighting experience ever: six fox kits rolling around, jumping on each other, playing, etc. I watched for about a minute as I walked very quietly / slowly. They eventually saw me and darted back into their den. I need to start carrying my phone for pictures...
