I had trouble getting to sleep last night (unpleasant thoughts) and then trouble staying asleep (unpleasant "anxiety dreams"), so I slept through the group breakfast run...

Long run -- from home: Daughenbaugh / Warembourg, Dutch Creek, Coal Creek, Singletree-Mayhoffer, Cowdrey Draw. Turned around at the cistern.

I started out planning to just do an out-and-back. But I especially enjoy the farther reaches of this trail, so I kept going beyond the five-mile mark with the plan of finishing near Michael's, picking up something I'm having framed there, and then taking a Lyft home. That all worked out, except that the artwork had come loose from the frame, so they're going to re-do it.

A beautiful day -- sunny, 60s, clear blue sky, no wind.

MTB with a local group starting weekly Dirty Bismarck rides tonight.

I was running late (where's my bike light?! where's my CamelBak bladder?! where's my other CamelBak bladder that doesn't leak?! etc.), so instead of driving to the trailhead the others were starting from, I rode from home to a different, closer trailhead and rode the opposite direction until I met up with them. Then turned around and rode back with them until it was time for me to peel off at my trailhead to head home. Fun.

Today's training plan assignment was: "easy 3-mile run".

Up to Harper Lake, one lap around the lake, and then back home the same way. I remember not too long ago when this pace would have seemed like a herculean effort...

A beautiful sunny day with NO WIND!

Off to see Black Panther with the local Rice Movie Club.
