LoCOfit breakfast run and "Virtual 5K" fundraiser for my high school.

The entire route was either ice or deep, lumpy snowpack -- which forced me to go slow.

I feel asleep easily last night (from exhaustion), but I woke up around 4:30 am -- my feet and legs were painfully sore, and I couldn't find a comfortable position. Eventually fell back asleep.

I never made it to the rec center or out for a walk today...oh well.

slept:7.0 shoes: Salomon Speedcross (2017-Navy)

Another GPHXO two-hour Score-O, at Robbins Butte (pretty close to yesterday's maps).

Counter-clockwise again. The first several controls went so smoothly that I think I stopped concentrating. Huge errors at #40, #32, #23 (twice!), and #20. Still lots of fun, and another day of great weather (60s and sunny).

Also, a fantastic wet-desert smell after last night's rain.

I had several hours to kill before my 8pm flight, so I had planned to hike up Piestewa Peak to kick of my "get better at hill climbing" goal.

But, as Ron had predicted, parking lots were overflowing and the trail was MOBBED with people. (I even saw a Hyatt shuttle circulating near the trailhead).

So I decided to do the "Piestewa Freedom Loop" circumference trail instead (which still had a good amount of climbing). I was SO GLAD I did that -- there were very few other people on most of the loop trail. The final portion of the loop trail was the same as the peak trail -- and it was crowded, eroded, etc. -- I wouldn't have enjoyed that.
