Busy, busy work day -- and still not feeling 100%.

slept:5.0 weight:117.7lbs shoes: Brooks Adrenaline (2019)

I think the "I ate too much" feeling I had on Monday night was actually the start of a mild stomach bug -- I've been queasy and headache-y all week.

So I just went through the motions, in slow motion, at tonight's workout.

- Short & slow warm-up run.

- 10 x (1-minute hill sprint / 2-minute recovery).

- Short & slow cool-down run.

Ugh.

Run / Hike 22:12 [3] 1.09 mi (20:22 / mi) +68ft 19:14 / mi
slept:8.0 shoes: Saucony Razor (Snow)

Neighborhood walk. The "bomb cyclone" is kind of a dud around here (much worse to the east & south), but none of the paths or sidewalks are plowed yet.

LoCO FIT Spring Training! At Davidson Mesa.

- Ran one mile to warm up.

- Two-mile time trial, as a baseline for the season -- 16:43 (8:32, 8:11). I would describe this effort as "pushing it, but not killing myself".

- Ran one mile+ to cool down.

slept:8.0 weight:117.8lbs shoes: Brooks Adrenaline (2019)

I carpooled with some other local ladies to the Stapleton location of Runners Roost for the store's one-year anniversary run & party (Holly, the Stapleton store manager, used to be the manager of our local Louisville store).

I had planned to just walk, or maybe run two miles max...but I ended up doing 3.1 with the others (at a slow pace).

After the run, I went full-Denver-hipster with a passionfruit-sour beer and food-truck avocado toast. And then some cake. Ugh -- ate way too much.

Yay -- I'm caught up with my first week of LoCO FIT Spring Training, even though I was out of town for four days. I did the Thursday workout on Wednesday in Houston; I did the Tuesday workout yesterday (Saturday); and my Saturday long run today (Sunday). :-P

I had planned an out-and-back route from home to the Meadowlark trail in Superior (since that would include a big hill climb). But, apparently the Coal Creek Trail connector from Hwy 36 to McCaslin is closed for construction work (and it looked like a total muddy mess -- not a closure I'd want to ignore).

So I ran along the bikeway for a while (noisy!), and then decided to take the underpass to Davidson Mesa. But, the underpass was a lot father west than I remembered -- I had to run along the shoulder of 50-mph Marshall Road for quite a while. Generally, I don't enjoy the noise or the traffic of road running, and I'm constantly afraid I'm gonna get run over by a texting idiot. But I survived. :-P And I have a new appreciation for the many miles of off-street trails & paths we have around here...

Weather was nice -- 50ish, mostly sunny, no wind.
