Sverre set up a free training course today at the Bear Creek Greenbelt in Lakewood.

It was pretty easy (Orange-ish), but I still managed to make some dumb mistakes -- mainly over-running things b/c of the 1:4000 scale, but also heading back towards the start for the map exchange, without realizing I could go directly from #9 to #10.

I was feeling kinda sore from yesterday's race, so I mostly ran at a very slow pace (or walked).

Another day with great weather -- sunny and 60s.

CollaBEERation 5K & Brew Fest in Longmont

We had a big LoCO FIT crew at this race. I wasn't entirely sure if I really wanted to "race" it -- it was more of just an excuse to attend the brew fest afterwards. :-P

One of my high school friends (Ted) happened to be in town, so he signed up along with another high school friend who lives in Boulder. I ran with Ted for about the first mile, and then I took off on my own.

The weather was great for this time of year -- sunny and 60s. Live music and unlimited free beer and cider afterwards...oof. I really needed a nap when I got home.

- Ran one mile to warm up. Chirping birds and prairie dogs replaced the highway noise as soon as I got on the dirt road.

- 3 x (3-, 2-, 1-minute effort with1 or 2 minutes walking rest in between).

- Ran and then walked a bit to cool down.
