Monet exhibit in Denver with Mom (she's visiting for the weekend), and then a quick bike ride before it got dark. It was 70 degrees, sunny, and no wind -- with heavy snow and frigid temps predicted for the next two days -- so I *had* to get out for a while.

From home, up to Harper Lake for one loop, two loops around Davidson Mesa, another loop around Harper Lake, and then back home.

My training plan assignment (for tomorrow) was 11-12 miles, so I planned to do an out-and-back on the Dirty Bismarck loop. (I have the day off since my Mom is arriving this afternoon for a weekend visit.)

When I got to my halfway point, I felt like it wouldn't be so bad to just finish the whole loop. I thought that would be 14, but it turned out to be almost 15 by the time I got back to my car (so I did two laps around the parking lot to make my watch roll over). Also, I walked the uphill part of my 13th mile. Extra-slow pace but pleasant overall.

3:01:23 total time, 2:53:23 moving time (I stopped a few times to shed layers, take photos, drink water, etc.).

Weekly Runners Roost Group Run. Up McCaslin, one loop around Davidson Mesa, and then back down McCaslin. I was alone for most of the Davidson Mesa loop, which was really nice.

- Ran one mile around the arboretum to warm up.

- Three laps of the rec center hill loop. I was supposed to do this as a progression...but I was in more of a "just get through it" mood / mode.

- Ran one mile around the arboretum and back home to cool down.

There has been a constant stream of texts, emails, calls & IMs from several of my co-workers for the past few days -- so much so that I can barely get work done. (But it's reassuring to commiserate & realize I'm not the only one who's unhappy with all the bull-crap changes...)
