Carrryout Caravan, 10:45 am to 4:00 pm.

Wow, this was a long day. They didn't take orders last week due to Veterans Day, and they won't be taking orders next week due to Thanksgiving. So we had a sh*tload of orders today, and many of them were longer than usual.

I had planned to run in the Mesa Trail area after finishing my volunteer shift, but I didn't finish until 4pm, I hadn't had lunch (except for one of the free donuts), it was getting cold & dreary outside, etc. But being on my feet for this long counts as a Level 1 effort, at least.

Up McCaslin, one lap around Harper Lake, and then back down McCaslin.

I was chatting with Veronique, so I had to run faster to keep up!

I really need to un-blob myself...and today's weather cooperated: sunny, blue sky, 60s. (And NO WIND!)

I had to run an errand anyway, so I ran from Founders Park instead of starting at home. Out & back on Mayhoffer-Singletree trail / Cowdrey Draw / Community Ditch.

I have never liked Tiger Woods (he seems so arrogant, wooden, and humorless -- and the cheating / sex scandals didn't help).

He made this statement today after a huge blunder ("the highest single-hole score of his pro career"):

"This is unlike any other sport in which you're so alone out there and you have to figure it out and you have to fight and no one is going to bring you off the mound or call in a sub and you just have to figure it out, and I did coming in."

Obviously he has never heard of orienteering (like most people...) -- or tennis, or gymnastics, or swimming, or track / XC...

So I could get a non-stop, round-trip Frontier ticket to Kansas City for $45, to do the "virtual" Possum Trot: fly out early on 12/6, do the course that afternoon, and then fly back on 12/7. Would that make me a bad person...? (Honest question.) I'd be totally alone while in the woods, but obviously close to other people in the airports & on the flights.
