Cycling 1:25:13 [3] 14.34 mi (5:57 / mi) +578ft 5:43 / mi
slept:8.0 weight:120.5lbs shoes: Safire

I finally gave up on one of my tubeless tires since I don't have a compressor (the rear tire keeps deflating and I can't get a good seal with just my floor pump). I switched it back to a regular tube -- which was more of a process than I realized it would be.

Then I went for a ride around the Louisville trails (Harper Lake, Davidson Mesa, Hwy 36 bike path, Coal Creek). As with the moon-rise last night, I turned around on the Coal Creek trail just in time to see this sunset behind me. It faded while I was taking a few pictures, so I'm glad I turned around in time to see it.

Neighborhood walk.

I saw a bobcat crossing South Boulder Road(!) this morning on my way to King Soopers.

And then I saw a huge almost-full moon rising this evening during my walk, when I turned around to head home.

Nice ways to start & end the day.

Orienteering race 1:35:43 [3] 5.0 mi (19:09 / mi) +644ft 17:04 / mi
slept:7.0 weight:122lbs shoes: Salomon Speedcross (2017-Turq)

Red course at Cheyenne Mountain State Park.

This was a "straight is great" course, as Neal Barlow would say, since it's very open.

I found it really difficult to interpret all the overlapping leg lines, circles, and numbers for most of the course, which is the main reason I went to #20 on my way to #7. Otherwise, just some minor mistakes here-and-there (#8 & #14) and several minutes of wandering at #18 (I think the trails could be mismapped? or the control was higher than shown on the map?).

Nice weather and a fun day. I-25 traffic wasn't too awful (1:30 on the way down and 1:45 on the way back).

Post-meet work (results, splits, photo gallery, email, etc.)

Also, looked into options and set up a preference survey for RMOC's corn maze event.

Prep work for tomorrow's meet at Cheyenne Mountain State Park (start cards, OE2010 files, loading snacks & water into car, emails, etc.).

3 PM

Run / Hike 41:20 [3] 3.55 mi (11:39 / mi) +123ft 11:16 / mi
slept:8.0 weight:121lbs shoes: Brooks Adrenaline (2021)

Easy neighborhood run -- to the post office, with a detour through Daughenbaugh on the way back. Ran 3.1, walked the rest.

Amazing weather -- sunny & 60s & no wind!

4 PM

Strength / Stretching 15:00 [3]

Peloton class -- 15-minute core. Again with the German guy and a funny smattering of English.

"Wir beginnin in drei, zwei, eins -- let's go team!"

"Wenn der six-pack haben wollt..."
