Goat Fell. 7th. Started steady along the road and gradually made my way through to 4th by the start of the climb. Feeling sprightly and hopeful of a top 3 until we crossed the bridge when the climb just seemed to increase in intensity. Andy and joe were creating a big gap at this point. Fortunately the climb levelled off about 1/2 way up where I was able to recover but hit a wall again as it steepened with Al and Doug passing and a big group just behind. Descent was fun apart from the 2 big falls I had which hindered any chance of beating R.simpson. Road was a nightmare.
In hindsight I would have benefited from a slower start on the climb but fairly pleased. Think I've graduated from West Ham to Everton in the SHR premier league
