The 3 Monadliath munros above Newtonmore with Grace.

Easy gentle up for the first 5k before a tough marshy slog to 8k before a push up to carn dearg. Very gentle 8k along the plateau with some undulations to the next one before a short up and over to the final munro. Descent was quick and short but I was feeling a bit tired by this point.
Sunny, not a breath of wind and clear views for miles - doesn’t get much better than that.

Although as we were driving back to Newtonmore we came across a herd of about 50 cows in and around the road. I tried to pull forward very very slowly without honking in case of one of them went psycho and we were making slow but steady progress till one absolute unit of a cow just starts walking right at us with a look of ‘you’re getting shanked’. I did some pretty Lewis hamilton reversing to get well clear and then we eventually inched our way through when there were only about 10 left. Exciting times
