Hareys relays - in place of the cancelled chelmsford relays. Was on 3rd leg. Was told that I would be setting off in first which was not ideal but then in a stroke of luck my second leg runner bonked so I got to set off 15 secs behind James instead.
Great xc loop with a proper hill (I know!!) - got caught by some lad must have put 15 secs into me in the first k before swiftly ditching him when he popped 2k in. James was slowly getting closer so just kept reeling him in before getting right behind at the top of the final hill. Stuck in for a bit, tried and failed to surge at 5.5 so then went for a 300m sprint at 5.7 which did the trick. Really great fun and nice to get the racing feel on an excellent circuit - happy days.

Back to trin - was gonna do a longer WD but spent a long time chatting after so the legs were a bit whacked - this week is gonna be lower mileage anyway cos of the isolation so no big deal. It's a game of two halves
