Also, big up the Lake District for some absolute top notch weather the last week - no rain and pretty much unbroken sunshine- very uncharacteristic methinks

WU featuring 5 minutes of infernal head and torso itching on cue when I started sweating. Considering this happens in any top I have these are the possible conclusions:
1- I have an allergy/reaction to the washing powder
2- I have an allergy/reaction to my own sweat
3- I am possessed by the dark soul of Satan himself

Intervals - 5 x 400 on 2:30s, 5 x 200 on 2:00s

This wasn’t great. 400s were ok but 200s were not good- couldn’t seem to get any speed up- probs to do with a complete lack of motivation or something else. Oh well, new shoes were cool.

4.3k middle at Graythwaite- one of my favourite areas.
Took it pretty hard and was decent technically just lost map contact to #4 and a few tiny wobbles. Really enjoyed it

Hilly one up Lattrigg. Perfectly runnable path the whole way up then really enjoyed the gentle grassy descent down the spur- great fun! Along the forest slope was very undulating, but I got going once I accepted that the map was about as useful as Raheem Stirling for England.

Keswick Parkrun- wanted to do this as a tempo. Off the start there was no one particularly flying so just front ran it the whole way. Great to have a downhill last km- was my fastest split. Took the W but was lovely to have so many people cheering me on on the way back :)

Day off today so went and got 2 lavely pairs of Brooks shoes from Run4it. One for training and one for racing - ya beauties. Gonna keep my current Brooks as well tho for back up
