Just so frustrated right now. Last few days I’ve noticed my shins (both) a wee bit whilst walking and was confused as to why. Headed out for a run to test this, and it seems we are back at bloody square one with my shins, and not just one but two this time. Was feeling them more on tarmac and especially on hard surface downhills.
Just can’t believe it really. Like genuinely how is this even possible I just don’t understand. Just when my im feeling really positive about the ankles recovery this just comes along. Wtf.
I really do hope I’m over exaggerating here and hopefully this will die down but just the frustration is strong. Too annoyed to even do more training today.
Feeling very fed up but hopefully going back to more frequent stretching and cross training this will clear. Ffs it is what it is I guess...

Mileage molloy was back for more. No pain on the canal at all which was exciting so decided to push a wee bit to test the waters.
Did a 3:43 fifth km going purely off feel for a comfortable tempo speed. In other words, to quote a certain M18 this would be an ‘easy tempo’ speed - I won’t name names but I hardly need to, do I?
Guess the view going forward is firstly strengthening both ankles and also working out a plan for getting back onto trails then terrain, but realistically that’s not gonna happen in time for next week.
(Also some serious leg shaving is gonna be required now with two ankles to tape!)

Canal run. An occasional 1/10 pain on the flat surface, but can defo feel it more whenever I am on any type of slope or gradient
