Night O @ Dale Park
Have to say that I’m not usually the biggest fan of night O but this was throughly enjoyable. Super technical, hilly and tricky but made easier by having Jim’s anti aircraft search light on my head. Saw lots of people throughout and only big time loss was at the end where about 10 of us couldn’t find a crag :)

Running 6:27 [3] 1.08 km (5:58 / km)

Knee playing up. No news apart from that

4 PM

Running 44:31 [3] 8.03 km (5:32 / km)
ahr:153 max:169 shoes: Brooks Ghost 11

Came out of my french prelim and the weather was absolutely disgusting so seeing as I was at school and the option was there I opted for the gym instead. Never really enjoy running on the treadmill and the gym always feels very clammy. Oh well. Sensible.

Note
(rest day)

Still keeping it tentative. A good day however

Tuesday Jan 14 #

3 PM

Running 15:11 [3] 3.03 km (5:01 / km) +41m 4:42 / km
ahr:154 max:165 shoes: Brooks Ghost 11

To meadows

Running 14:48 [3] 3.55 km (4:10 / km)
ahr:149 max:171 shoes: Brooks Ghost 11

Mini ints at meadows
4x800m on 4 mins.

Wanted something short and sweet to ease back into the training and get the legs turning over. Speed was ok considering the break but was producing a lot of mucus at the end of each rep - nice. Felt good to be back tho

Running 14:52 [3] 2.75 km (5:25 / km) +14m 5:17 / km
ahr:162 max:173 shoes: Brooks Ghost 11

2 strides and then back to the stew.

Monday Jan 13 #

3 PM

Running 47:53 [3] 9.2 km (5:12 / km) +142m 4:50 / km
ahr:154 max:180 shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon 230

2 remarkable things happened on this run.

1. A squirrel fell over 5m and landed about a metre in front of me on the pavement. It then just ran away as if nothing happened.
2. I saw a Ryanair flight abort a landing coming into the airport.

From my perspective it was not very exciting apart from a stiff knee
