Had a terrible nights sleep so really needed this. Pishing down the whole time. Headed out to midsomer common and then did a lap of Jesus green before heading past trinity to suss out the move in situation.
Found a naughty climb up the bridge over the cam - a lung busting 3m of height gain. Headed back through the centre and saw a guy doing the London marathon - some day for it.
Gonna play it live with freshers week and running - roll with the punches, see how the cookie crumbles...

Last run in Linlithgow for a while - beautiful morning round avon and Loch then headed round Parkley Craigs for some more fun. Did a proper effort up the hill there which is why the hr is so high. Not gonna be doing much of that soon so gotta make the most of it while I can!

Had to do a beecraigs lap one last time before I go. Rainy and grey throughout. Just like the north east of england, my right nipple was put on maximum alert at 8k for chafing and we had to go taps aff from there.

Grace asked if I could pace her at 3:20s for 3k so I thought I would just carry on at that pace for a 5.
Went through 3k at 9:58 and was feeling pretty decent and in control so just cranked up the pace a bit for the last 2k and averaged 3:15s for those. Pleased with the time and always felt that I had another level to go to, which meant I could just focus on keeping good form and a steady pace throughout.
Overall really good and comfortable but a 5k solo TT on the track was just about the limit of my boredom threshold for running. Haven't done much actual fast running this year so this was good fun
