SLR - Out north to some new territory, and by territory I mean wasteland soon to be a housing estate. Into histon and joined the busway - I had never heard of a busway or seen one before so this was deeply exciting.
Then wiggled through to girton. At this point I had a 50/50 routechoice and I couldn’t remember. Went left. Should’ve gone right. Cue 4-5k of blind optimism as I used my sense of direction to somehow help me eventually follow road signs to the american cemetery.
Got lost again and made it back to college to see an extinction rebellion person on hunger strike outside. Eventful. Good week in the bag and the very exciting prospect of a race next week!

Felt awesome on the 30T and just sat in behind james 'the metronome' ackland for most of it - excellent pack of 3 and the pace felt good.
Then the 30 hards were all fine but the floats were a killer - not too used to that and it just doesn't give you enough to recover properly - which I guess is kinda the point. Another good sesh in the bag

5 x 1 mile with 90 sec walk/jog recovery.
Doing this with Ewan who was a bit quicker than me on all of them so was nice to have a good marker in front. Did slow up a bit in the last rep. Also totally forgot it would get dark so a combo of no head torch and being on the towpath meant the last 3 were a struggle with the final one in total darkness.
Oh well, always good to *in Chris Eubank’s voice* add a bit of spice to proceedings
