Lang wan out west to Toft. Very chill first 10k before some of the muddiest running I’ve ever done on one path section but really relished the slop. Quite bitty through the next section but had the phone with me otherwise I would have been so lost. Then eventually back to Barton and back into Cambridge - saw Liam as well. Felt physically great throughout but the legs were a bit tired by the end. Pretty pleased that I still managed to get a decent weeks training despite my wee dip into isolation.

Hareys relays - in place of the cancelled chelmsford relays. Was on 3rd leg. Was told that I would be setting off in first which was not ideal but then in a stroke of luck my second leg runner bonked so I got to set off 15 secs behind James instead. Great xc loop with a proper hill (I know!!) - got caught by some lad must have put 15 secs into me in the first k before swiftly ditching him when he popped 2k in. James was slowly getting closer so just kept reeling him in before getting right behind at the top of the final hill. Stuck in for a bit, tried and failed to surge at 5.5 so then went for a 300m sprint at 5.7 which did the trick. Really great fun and nice to get the racing feel on an excellent circuit - happy days.

Back to trin - was gonna do a longer WD but spent a long time chatting after so the legs were a bit whacked - this week is gonna be lower mileage anyway cos of the isolation so no big deal. It's a game of two halves

Freedom! Got the all clear and despite the torrential rain I was out in a flash. Got horrendously lost, ended up at the airport and had to follow road signs to fen ditton but the excitement made up for it
One of my household started displaying symptoms this morning so am now in self-isolation. She's getting tested tomorrow so the earliest I'm gonna be out is Wednesday - and if it's positive then.... So fingers crossed at the moment - at least today was a rest day anyway.
