Early morning Lode with Tspence following a wet night. A little sloppy out, but the pace was exactly what I wanted and this route is a million times better with company, so all in all a success.
The reason for the early run was so I could get down to college for 10 to begin my career as a voice recording artist, in this case for an English textbook for Mexican kids. No context shall be provided.
Really pleased with the last 6 weeks. Very consistent mileage with some good training in there, and fewer races. Exciting for what’s coming next!

Excellently planned by Jim, making good use of an okay area - lots of controls with some interesting barriers to keep me on my toes.
Overall good - mostly planning well and only 2-3 wee hesitations in the whole session. Did have to miss the last 3 controls of rep 3 due to building work, but no harm done.
So quiet, really felt like lockdown again or something. Spooky.

I’ve been finding that the evening double really disrupts evening work, so in honour of being in my serious candidate era and having two exams tomorrow I decided to get this done now. Mature.
Pleased with this. First two reps with the course, reacquainting myself, then the last three reading a map from some rather destructive ints in Penicuik. All the reps times within 5 seconds, so I’m going to say that’s a good thing. Whether it actually is or not is another matter entirely.

Some excellent tekkers on the Astronomy department 1:2500 map, courtesy of Grace once again. Things naturally came up very quickly but I kept pretty well on my toes with only a couple of 1sec hesitations in the second loop.
Reran the first rep after the second. Bizarrely I ran through the same barrier twice on that loop, despite respecting it for another leg. Oh well. Good stuff.
