Orienteering 58:42 [2] *** 8.36 km (7:01 / km) +147m 6:27 / km
ahr:150 max:171 26c

First training in Denmark for the trip! The training wasn't especially relevant for JWOC, but it was a good training course to warmup my compass skillz or lack there of. I made some mistakes, some larger than others. I felt like the terrain was pushing me around a bit, and I'm not sure I was able to focus as much as I should have been. Overall, a good warmup for the coming trainings were I need to focus on using my compass and learning as much as I can about the terrain.

The terrain I'll be training in for the next few days will be highly relevant for JWOC, I'll post maps and try to take pictures of the terrain.

Orienteering (Night) 1:03:05 [3] **** 9.28 km (6:48 / km) +172m 6:13 / km
ahr:154 max:170 11c

Second training in Denmark, this one was a light training. Again, the course had a heavy focus on the use of compass, which was made even more effective in the dark. For the most part it went alright, I was able to keep a good course most of the time, but I often think I was somewhere I wasn't went I started following the course. My mistakes where mostly going into the control, and sometimes I didn't make any mistakes whatsoever! A really fun and interesting course, and I will concede and say that there are some hills in Denmark.
