Orienteering 38:05 [2] *** 5.26 km (7:14 / km) +162m 6:16 / km

Pretty relaxed training, but the navigation was completely new to me. I found it challenging to see the contours beneath the details, and to tell the details apart from one another. I got used to it eventually, and I was able to navigate pretty well towards the end of the course. I was also struggling to get a sense of scale, I couldn't always tell large rocks from small ones. Overall, a good introduction to the terrain and the mapping style. I felt I got the hang of it towards the end, so there's hope for some solid trainings and navigation in the coming days!

Orienteering 35:30 [2] *** 4.44 km (8:00 / km) +117m 7:04 / km

Second training, pretty good experience. Running was challenging due to the high bushes and rocks, but it felt kinda nice to weave through them and make my way to the control. I'm still getting used to the terrain, the vegetation and the abundance of rocks makes it difficult to see very well, and knowing what you see isn't always clear either. I didn't make too many mistakes, I certainly didn't feel as helpless as the previous training. Overall, a pretty good training with some solid orienteering and some mistakes to learn from.

Orienteering (Night) 41:11 [3] *** 5.79 km (7:07 / km) +151m 6:18 / km
ahr:155 max:179 spiked:7/15c

Last training for the day, a night run in a pretty open area. For the most part, finding my way to the general area of the control wasn't a problem, but knowing exactly how to approach it was an issue. Knowing my exact location was also tough for me, the terrain was pretty vague and running at night exaggerated this. It was a decent run with a few too many mistakes, but still a good time.
