A high intensity training in some challenging terrain. A good mix between really fast and incredibly technical terrain, and I'm generally happy with my performance. I was alone for most of the race, and in the very technical areas I wasn't going fast at all. But I was making sure I was finding my way to the controls, which I managed for the most part. Most of my mistakes came as a result of poor compass work or from a lack of focus when the leg required it. Looking back at it, I was very pleased with this training and happy that I manged the technical aspects of it well.

Fifth training in Madrid, focus on running at a relaxed pace alongside other people. It was interesting to see where other people ran, and to compare my choice with theirs. A good way to learn what it's like to run alongside people and compete. Technically there were aspects that were challenging, but for the most part running here wasn't too bad. Most of my mistakes happened because I wasn't focused enough or because I wasn't applying my skills well enough. Still, not a bad training and certainly fun!
