Run 19:13 [3] 3.41 km (5:38 / km) +97m 4:56 / km
ahr:142 max:170

Took the dog for a run, it was planned to be a calm and relaxing run after a weekend of races but the dog had other plans. It calmed down a bit when she started getting worn out. It was a fun run though, a different kind of experience.

Orienteering race 43:25 [4] **** 5.1 km (8:31 / km) +144m 7:28 / km
ahr:159 max:178 spiked:8/12c

Middle distance race. I was having a very good race at the start, running fast and nailing my controls. But then I must have gotten too confident or careless because I ended up up running in the wrong direction. This hurt my confidence, so I took the rest of the course carefully and therefore slower. Even so, I made mistakes after that, granted they were smaller. My stomach also started acting up towards the end of the course, which I have deduced was a result of the breakfast I had earlier in the day. Lots to learn from this race!

Orienteering race 57:26 [3] ** 8.34 km (6:53 / km) +173m 6:14 / km
ahr:167 max:188 spiked:10/15c

Long distance race. I thought it was quite a boring race, mostly comprised of running legs and shitty terrain. But the terrain is the same for everyone, so I just had to do my best. I felt like I ran quite well, and I didn't make too many mistakes. The flag on the second control wasn't up when I got there, but I will concede that I did not hit it very well regardless. Some small mistakes going into the control, where I allowed the terrain to push me around or I wasn't 100% confident. Overall, a decent race with some solid running and minor mistakes.

Run intervals (Hill) 29:34 [5] 5.32 km (5:33 / km) +47m 5:19 / km
ahr:140 max:179

Around 15 minutes of warmup, followed by eight times up my hill at max pace. I felt generally tired when doing this training, I'm not sure if it is due to a long day at school, the fact that I haven't done intervals in a while or my body being tired after the past few trainings. I manged to get up that hill all eight times, so I guess it wasn't the worst training experience I've had. But this type of training is not exactly entertaining.

Orienteering 29:31 [3] *** 3.85 km (7:40 / km) +87m 6:53 / km
ahr:163 max:183 spiked:15/21c

The jump from 1:15000 to 1:4000 is quite a big one. The terrain was right by the coast, which means a very rocky place with green patches a plenty. The most challenging aspect of this race was the aforementioned scale, I wasn’t quite prepared for the amount of focus I needed to have for the whole race. This lead to the majority of my mistakes involving stopping to relocate or having to make a sharp turn to hit the control. Physically the race was solid, not too tired and the terrain didn’t pose too great of a challenge. I had a stomachache the whole way through, which is the result of poor dietary choices.
