Orienteering 37:50 [4] * 5.53 km (6:51 / km) +173m 5:55 / km
ahr:159 max:188

A fun twist on an orienteering race! There was supposed to be a race yesterday, but that was cancelled, so instead we utilized the "public" controls that are hanging out in the woods. The goal was to take as many of the controls as possible and be at the goal within 30 minutes. Each control was 1 point and each minute over the time was -1 point. There was also a handicap, so I wasn't able to take controls 5, 9, 13, 17 and 21. It was an interesting concept that made me think in a new way, the orienteering was very easy but the time management and planning was different that what I'm used to. It was a fun training with an interesting concept. My legs also feel much better, I only felt them a little bit. My headlamp is also repaired, so I could actually see!
My warmup is included in on the course, just ignore it. The GPS is also pretty bad for this course.

Run 1:05:18 [2] 8.5 km (7:41 / km) +227m 6:46 / km
ahr:129 max:145

The word of the day is: Pain. My calves are killing me from yesterday's intervals. I need to take a day off from training, or just using my legs in general. Going to do some stretches and massaging to try and get my legs into good shape as quickly as possible.

Run intervals 1:04:58 [4] 12.63 km (5:09 / km) +299m 4:36 / km
ahr:160 max:191

Long intervals, 10 minutes running. I was able to keep up and push myself, having a strong group of runners makes it easier. However, the icy gravel made it extremely painful to run, and I was using studded shoes, making it even worse. I ran three intervals before I decided to head home, which I think was a good idea. Still feeling it in my calfs as I write this a few hours later, so I think I pushed myself a good amount.

Orienteering intervals 1:00:28 [4] **** 8.28 km (7:18 / km) +369m 5:58 / km
ahr:149 max:180

Intervals, through pretty rough terrain. It was not a very fun time trying to run quickly, but the technical aspect was solid. Few mistakes, but not as fast as intended.

Orienteering 56:44 [3] *** 6.34 km (8:56 / km) +406m 6:46 / km
ahr:137 max:157

A more relaxed orienteering training, many controls and a longer course. I didn't feel so well, I'm sure I didn't eat enough between the two trainings, so I had a difficult time focusing on my orienteering and running well. I did my best, but this was a learning experience in eating enough.
