Was in Aviemore getting a photo for my provisional license, so thought I’d make the trip worthwhile.

Nice run on the trails round Aviemore, most of them new to me- got a bit lost at times... was going to go for longer, but felt pretty tired so this felt like a good distance. Think exams are taking it out of me, but otherwise felt decent!

MTB with Mum from Dell Road, on a loop round Rynettin. Mum was trying getting used to her new bike so a bit of faffing.

Needed out badly after school, so thought I’d go for a ride to Carrbridge...

....however, was solo and getting battered by the wind so just went up to Achnahannet and back. Not majorly beneficial training wise, but feeling sooo much better for it :)

Basoc training- Mullochard
Sooo nice, would be a good place to come for a terrain run. 3 loops: Slopes, control pick, simplification.
Slopes was pretty good but was a bit high on a couple. Control pick I was really pleased with, spiking the controls and felt really in control with the changes in direction. Think I was lacking some confidence in the map simplification, as I ran past one control not seeing it, thought I’d made a cheeky wee parallel error, ran about for a bit then realised I was just at it...

Happy with nav, need to be more confident with it though. Felt really comfortable on the flats and descending, still improvements to be made going up hills!
