Orienteering 1:11:43 [3] 5.8 km (12:22 / km)

Stage 5.
Because of day 2 I was pretty far back on the chasing start. No worries, I thought, I'll put in a good shift at the start to get away from the others and focus on my own race. However felt like trash (dehydrated, the heat catching up on me and last day of racing!) and made loads of little mistakes. Majorly messed up when I was a control ahead of myself and missed out #8- dropped a lot of height scrambling down crags before I realised what I'd done. Stood for a bit before deciding to just keep on going and take the mp. These races weren't results focussed for me and considering how bad I felt didn't think that going up to that control would be of any benefit to me so just finished the rest of the course, enjoying the terrain!

Not the ideal finish to o-ringen, but still a fun course so can't complain

Stage 4- Middle race.
Fun course, cool area. Didn't have much confidence in my nav so was a bit overly hesitant. Few wee misses but felt so dead so really slow time. Very enjoyable despite the heat!

Stage 3- 33rd.
Fairly average run, no big mistakes but a few small misses however a lot better than my last run! Massive grind to #1 as it was pretty long and all on paths so lost a lot of time running slow. Course didn't really suit me, but considering how brain dead I felt it went quite well! Heat wasn't fab but could've been worse. Middle tomorrow let's goooooooo

Stage 2- 131st...
Oops.

Had a 8.30 start so didn't eat/drink much beforehand and was half asleep. Poor start, but things really went south at #6 where I ended up unintentionally revisiting #5 first after getting lost... Then just some horrendous nav afterwards and lost all motivation and confidence. Disappointed in my lack of control of my race but hey ho it happens, still enjoyed it and will start fresh on stage 3 for some more fun in dreamy terrain :)

Also, my course today and yesterday was the exact same length... Ran like 2km further and 25mins longer ahaha whoops

O-ringen stage 1. D18 - 29th
Fairly pleased with this, took it steady and got into the map well. Some sub-optimal routchoices and big hesitations but got the job done. Got 3rd fastest split on one random leg which was nice #punter
