Erin Moore loop from Lions Bay.

Up the ascent trail towards Mt Unnecessary, then took the second turnoff for the Erin Moore loop to run it clockwise. This means that you get most of the ascent out of the way early, and have mostly gentle downhill running for the rest of the loop.

Some bits were excellent pine floor forest with fast progress, but a lot was technical and rocky underfoot. One very sketchy trail section where you have to use a rotting fallen tree to cross a ditch. This tree must have rolled at some point, as there is chicken wire to improve grip, but it's on the side of the log rather than the top! Didn't inspire too much confidence, but I survived unscathed.

Good views of Howe Sound when passing talus slopes, but otherwise you're in trees for the whole time.
